Washington, D.C. – Rishi Gupta, Partner of Eagle Rock Properties, was named the 2023 Chair of the National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) Emerging Leaders program at NMHC’s Annual Meeting earlier this month. The program, which was created in 2011, identifies and cultivates future leaders in the apartment industry.
He will be supported by Peter Herbst, Associate Portfolio Manager of Berkshire Residential Investments, and Navi Sandhu, SVP, Acquisitions, Finance and Development for Fifield Companies, as Vice Chairs.
“NMHC’s Emerging Leaders program is the premier path to executive leadership in the apartment industry,” said Kim Duty, NMHC’s SVP of Public Affairs and Industry Initiatives, who leads the program. “Several of our alumni have moved into the C-suite of their companies or founded their own companies.”
“The Emerging Leaders program has never been more relevant for the multifamily industry than now,” said Rishi Gupta, the 2023 Chair of the NMHC Emerging Leaders Committee. “Our strategic goals for 2023 include expanding our programming, strengthening our alumni network and supporting NMHC’s advocacy efforts to make the case for supply-focused solutions to our nation’s housing affordability crisis."
In addition, the committee welcomed the following new members to serve a three-year term:
- Graham Holland, Director, Investments, Starlight Investment
- Zach Kaufman, Director, JLL
- Brent Loomer, Managing Consultant, RealFoundations
