The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) is pleased to announce that Julie Smith, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Bozzuto Group, will be elected as a new NMHC officer at the Council’s Annual Meeting later this month.
Smith will take on the role of Secretary and begin an eight-year term as an NMHC officer, culminating in serving as Chair for 2025-2026. Before being promoted to CAO, Smith served as president of Bozzuto Management Company, overseeing a $9 billion portfolio. Under her leadership, Bozzuto Management grew from an organization with 15 employees to one of more than 2,000.
Smith has served in a variety of leadership roles at NMHC, including chairing our Property Management Committee for several years and currently chairing our Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
In addition to welcoming Smith to NMHC’s leadership, the members will elect David Schwartz, co-founder and CEO of Waterton Associates, to serve as the NMHC Chair for 2020-2021.
