The Student Housing Emerging Leaders program was formed to serve as a platform for networking and to mentor up-and-coming leaders from firms that are active in the student housing sector.
Under the umbrella of NMHC’s Emerging Leaders program, this group invites NMHC member firms to nominate up and coming employees to participate. The student housing group meets formally 2-3 times a year to hear from industry leaders, discuss key issues, network, and share best practices and ideas related to the ownership and management of student housing. Student Housing Emerging Leaders meetings are typically held in conjunction with NMHC’s Student Housing Conference in September and other large industry events throughout the year.
This group is also encouraged to participate in NMHC’s Emerging Leader’s Speaker Series.
Note: Participation in Student Housing Emerging Leaders activities is available to employees from NMHC member firms that are under the age of 40 and have at least five years of sector experience.
Casey Petersen, Peak Campus Management, heads up the group.
