Martin Ditto is the President and CEO of Ditto Residential, a Washington, DC-based residential development company. He is responsible for direction and vision for the company and oversees acquisition, design, and capitalization.
Martin developed his first project in 2008. From the start he took an interest in the design and architecture of his projects, spending more time and thought on creating beautiful spaces than his competitive set, and he saw buyers respond. Since then he has built more than 50 projects in the DC metro area, but it was the renovation and modern addition to the Round House in Brookland in 2010 that Martin points to as the defining project of his portfolio. Walking away from that project, architecture and design became the mission - Martin set out to become the leading design developer in DC.
Ditto Residential continues to pursue development where the focus and value creation begin with design. Currently, the company’s portfolio has a value of $85 million, which includes both for-sale condo and rental apartment projects. The company’s largest project in-development is 71,000 square feet.
Prior to starting Ditto Residential, Martin worked in construction and development at Bozzuto, Monument Realty, and ZOM, where he managed mixed-use residential and commercial projects.
Martin has a degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and holds a Masters of Science in Real Estate from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
