Ben Miller is co-founder and CEO of Fundrise, an online real estate investment platform that originates, underwrites, services, investments, and then re-syndicates (crowdfunds) real estate.
Founded in 2012 by Ben and his brother Dan, Fundrise was the first company to successfully crowdfund investment for real estate online, raising over $40M for more than 50 projects, including 3 World Trade Center in Manhattan and the redevelopment of former Tigers Stadium in Detroit.
The site allows lenders to invest in properties for as little as $100 per share, and as much as $10 million, and earn favorable returns (historically 12 to 14 percent).
Based in D.C. with offices in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, Fundrise offers investors the opportunity to invest in private real estate more efficiently and transparently through a web-based platform.
The company is active in more than 25 markets and expects to originate more than
$200M of real estate in 2015.
Ben has more than 15 years of experience in real estate and finance. As Managing Partner of WestMill Capital Partners and President of Western Development Corporation, Ben was responsible for acquiring, developing, and financing more than
