Ari Abramson is the Vice President of Acquisitions for Continental Realty Corporation (CRC). In his role, he focuses on multifamily acquisitions and dispositions throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, manages broker/owner relationships, and oversees the underwriting and due diligence process. CRC headquartered in Baltimore and founded in 1960, is a full-service and vertically-integrated commercial real estate investment and management company.

The firm owns and operates a $2 billion portfolio comprised of approximately 10,000 apartment units and 4 million square feet of commercial space. Prior to joining CRC, Ari worked at Alex. Brown Realty, Stifel Nicolaus, Townsend Capital, and Legg Mason. Mr. Abramson is a Board Member of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), where he is the Chairman of the Emerging Leaders Committee. Ari is a full member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member on the Multifamily Blue Product Council. Ari has a B.A. in Business and Economics from Muhlenberg College and a M.S. in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School.

Mr. Beam is the Managing Director of Investments for Magnolia Capital, a nationally focused multifamily investor based in Chicago. Prior to joining Magnolia Capital, Mr. Beam worked for Heitman Capital Management in their Chicago global headquarters. In his time with Heitman, Mr. Beam focused on sourcing multifamily acquisitions and joint ventures across the U.S.

Throughout his tenure at Heitman, Mr. Beam was responsible for the acquisition of over $2.7 Billion in multifamily properties nationally, including core, value-add, joint venture, and development investments. Mr. Beam participated in the firm’s investment committee process, quarterly portfolio-wide valuations, and led their team of acquisitions analysts.
Mr. Beam is a member of National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), where he occupies a seat on their Emerging Leaders Committee. Mr. Beam was named an Emerging Leader in Multifamily by Real Estate Forum in 2015 and received Heitman’s Core Values Award for Innovation in 2011. Mr. Beam received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Ann Caruana
Senior Vice President, Acquisitions, Preservation Equity Fund
WNC, Inc.
Ms. Caruana oversees all acquisition activities of WNC’s Preservation Equity Funds. Prior to joining WNC in 2018, she worked for four years with a private real estate equity firm where she specialized in the acquisition of affordable rental apartments generating economic returns, last serving as senior vice president of acquisitions.

Prior to that, Ms. Caruana spent nine years with a publicly-traded multifamily REIT where she served in various research and investment roles, including senior director of market research, senior investment analyst and investment manager. Ms. Caruana is a member of the ULI (Urban Land Institute) Women’s Leadership Initiative and the NMHC (National Multifamily Housing Council) Emerging Leaders Committee. Ms. Caruana holds an MBA from the University of Miami, Florida and a bachelor’s degree in statistics and marketing from Miami University, Ohio.
Chris Goldsmith

Chris Goldsmith, Director, joined the Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales team, in April 2015 as part of the Engler Financial Group acquisition. Mr. Goldsmith is responsible for the origination and execution of investment sales and equity capital raised for multifamily assets, with a focus on markets in the Southeast.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales, Mr. Goldsmith served on the acquisitions and asset management teams for Stockbridge Capital Group in Atlanta. During his tenure with Stockbridge, Mr. Goldsmith assisted with the placement of over $300 million in core/value-add equity and assisted with the management of Stockbridge’s Core Fund and several separate accounts. Prior to Stockbridge, Mr. Goldsmith spent three years at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company in the national accounts originations group. While at Prudential, Mr. Goldsmith worked on Prudential’s top producing team which originated more than $1.5 billion on behalf of Prudential’s General Account, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
Mr. Goldsmith holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia.

Matt Henney is a managing director of investments for Greystar, with responsibility for the company’s acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions throughout the Southeastern US. Prior to joining Greystar in 2014, he worked at Lancaster Pollard, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the housing and healthcare industries.
