Over the summer, the White House announced next steps for rolling out historic broadband deployment funding through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program (BEAD Program). This much anticipated announcement will guide the disbursement of broadband infrastructure funds totaling more than $42.5 billion, a portion of which can be used by rental housing providers to build out or upgrade broadband infrastructure within their properties.
Join NMHC, NAA and EducationSuperHighway and other members of the No Home Left Offline Coalition to learn more about the status of the funds, best practices for advocating to state broadband offices to prioritize low-income multifamily properties for the funding and possible advocacy steps to help influence the distribution process.
