The State of Housing in Boston: Housing Affordability and Rent Control
Boston is a hotbed for the housing affordability conversation taking place across the U.S. Too little supply to meet the demand is driving up rents. Mayor Wu's rent control campaign promise has passed the city council and now awaits action at the state legislature.
Recognizing the real answer is more supply, Boston is experimenting with unique (non-LIHTC) ways to develop and preserve workforce housing. And industry stalwarts continue to leverage LIHTC and other programs to meet the demand.
Join us for an evening with front-line participants in the housing affordability debates and those delivering real solutions in Boston. We'll learn the latest news and how some firms are finding creative ways to serve this reliable resident base.
