If you are registered for the 2022 NMHC Apartment Strategies Conference or 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting (Networking Passes included), you do not need to register for the 2022 NMHC Women's Event onsite. Simply pick up your badge for your existing registrations and head directly for the Women's Event.
NMHC’s Annual Meeting is On! COVID-19 Safety Requirements
Absent a national or state lockdown, NMHC is planning to hold our Women’s Event, Apartment Strategies Conference and Annual Meeting. We will have health and safety protocols in place, however. Namely, all attendees must either: (1) present proof of vaccination; OR (2) provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of their first day attending the conference AND complete a daily COVID-19 rapid test onsite.
Additionally, we encourage registrants to test for COVID-19 before they arrive to any of the Orlando events.
The NMHC Women’s Event will feature a keynote conversation with Dr. Peggy Whitson, record-breaking NASA astronaut and biochemist. She is the first woman to command the International Space Station twice (2008 & 2013), and at 665 days, Dr. Whitson has spent more time in space than any other American.
The event will kick off with an Industry Roundtable with updates on trending issues, followed by an industry panel on women’s leadership, before the keynote conversation with Dr. Peggy Whitson. A celebratory reception will conclude the event.
Whether you’re an industry executive with an expansive network or newer to the industry and establishing relationships, this is an opportunity to network with women leading the rental apartment industry to the future.
Registration for this event open to women who are also registered to attend the 2022 NMHC Apartment Strategies Conference or the 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting. Women with a 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting Networking Pass may also register to attend. Separate registration is required for each event.
Arrangements for the appearance of Dr. Peggy Whitson made through UTA Speakers, New York, NY

Given the evolving and ongoing nature of the pandemic, NMHC will have the following health and safety protocols in place for all of our events in January in Orlando. All attendees will have two options, detailed below, for complying with them.
Additionally, we encourage registrants to test for COVID-19 before they arrive to any of the Orlando events.
Who's Covered
Our goal is to ensure that everyone connected to our January events is covered by our health protocols. Importantly, anyone attending evening events sponsored by individual firms or visiting sponsors in hotel suites, private meeting rooms, cabanas or reserved networking tables must be NMHC members who have registered for the 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting with either a full registration or networking pass. Our health protocols apply to the following registrants:
- 2022 NMHC Apartment Strategies Conference
- 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting
- 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting - Emerging Leaders Registration
- 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting - Networking Passes
- 2022 NMHC Women's Event
OPTION One: Proof of Vaccination
Attendees can provide proof of vaccination in advance or on-site to avoid daily COVID-19 tests. (To be considered fully vaccinated, attendees must have received their second Pfizer/Moderna shot or single J&J shot by January 3, 2022.)
- Click here to submit your CDC vaccination record online by Friday, January 14, 2022, 5pm ET.
Note: To protect your privacy, Safe Expo, NMHC’s third-party vaccine verification and testing service provider, will not share or retain your records. However, that does mean that you will need to upload your vaccination information again even if you have already done so to attend a previous NMHC event.
Once it is submitted you will receive an email from Safe Expo approving or denying your documentation. Please retain your approval email to present at the event. Note: Check your spam folder if you do not receive an email. - You may also present your CDC vaccination record to the Health Screening Station when you arrive onsite when you arrive onsite, although you may experience delays.
OPTION Two: Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test and Daily Onsite Tests
- When you arrive, present results of a negative COVID-19 test that has been taken within 72 hours of your first day attending the event. Both Rapid Antigen and PCR test results will be accepted. Home tests are not accepted.
Daily testing is required after your initial negative Covid-19 test is presented to the Safe Expo Staff. Click here to create your required Covid-19 Testing profile and save time when you arrive onsite. - On each subsequent day you will be attending any portion of the meeting (Apartment Strategies Conference, Women’s Event, Annual Meeting, Networking Pass), go to the Testing Room located on the Lower Level to take a rapid COVID-19 test.
NOTE: Any attendee who tests positive through our vendor will be tested twice more. The final result will be determined based on two of the three tests administered. Those who have two positive tests will be deemed positive and will be advised to isolate immediately, consult with their personal physician and inform their close contacts. Current CDC guidelines suggest that people who test positive should also quarantine for 10 days.
Registration Policy for Guests/Employees Attending Sponsored Events and Meetings
Anyone attending evening events sponsored by individual firms or visiting sponsors in hotel suites, private meeting rooms, cabanas or reserved networking tables must be NMHC members who have registered for the 2022 NMHC Annual Meeting with either a full registration or networking pass. This will ensure that attendees at those gatherings will also be subject to NMHC’s Health and Safety Protocols.
Additional Health and Safety Measures
NMHC will report daily positive test results provided by our onsite vendor to all conference attendees; however, the names of people who have tested positive will be held in strict confidence.
We recommend all registrants test for COVID-19 before joining us in Orlando and travel using a KN95 mask for extra protection. KN95 masks will also be available onsite.
We will provide additional instructions and update you on any additional health and safety measures, such as masking and current local requirements and hotel policies, as we get closer to the event.
A Note for International Attendees
Please note that under new requirements, all international travelers to the U.S. are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than one day before travel. Learn more about the new requirements.
